Contribution is a must for a typical EB1A or EB1B.
Citation is a support for both contribution and authorship.
Contribution can be supported by other things, such as unclaimed awards,
patents, invited talks, emails requesting papers, code, and/or deeper
discussions on your papers, industrialization of your research, etc.
Authorship is evaluated by paper numbers and paper quality (or rather the
journal/proceeding qualities).
