When I decided PP, I just wanted to know whether my lawyer was against it. I know some lawyers highly recommend not to do so for some cases. However, my lawyer didn't object, but told me that nowadays the regular processing could be also finished in 4 months or less, and I could consider more between the cost and gain. Is your lawyer against your PP? But of course, it's a personal choice for everyone. I can't make the choice for you, nor am I taking any responsibility in what you do. I understand your concern though, and best wishes for you!

I do feel that PP will cause more RFEs, when the IOs run out of time. But I don't think that PP causes more merit-based RFEs. It is a trade-off between time and hassle&money.
Your case is strong enough.. it really doesn't make a difference if you PP or not, you will get it approved either way. The questions you want to ask yourself are "Can i wait for 3-4 months for the result or do i want it right away? Am i willing to pay the PP fee? do I want the added "1%" risk of getting a REF?"
