1. My background and general experience
10+ peer-reviewed journal or conference papers and 6 conference
presentations.
Among them, there are 7 peer-reviewed 1st-authored journal and conference
papers.
Field: Multidisciplinary. I put my algorithm papers in the computer science
area, which has a lower average citation number.
The total citations are 100+, and the independent citations are 90+. The
citing authors are from 9 countries cross 4 continents
(1.1) My publications appear on top journals in our field (Note, in our
field. Comparison is important)
(1.2) Several papers' citations > average citation in our field.
(1.3) Total number of citations is boosted by my previous Chinese articles.
(1.4) Total number of publications is boosted by conference papers.
(1.5) My research is multidisciplinary. I collaborate extensively with many
researchers and companies. So this may play a major role.
(1.6) The levels of sections and subsections in the petition letter should
be clear. Use color (blue or dark green) for the 1st-level section title.
(1.7) Font 12, line spacing: exactly 16 pt.
(1.8) Retain several supporting documents for RFE.
个人觉得实力和运气都是因素。所以尽人事，听天命。
在contribution里面，我觉得看中的是citations，impact(examples)。
推荐信里既要有具体例子，又要有综合评价，诸如 one of top scientists in the
field of XXXX。你可以把这个领域XXXX缩小些，这样推荐人就愿意签名了。这个领域
写得太大了，说实话，也是强人所难。设身处地，你要是推荐人也不愿吹得别人天花乱
坠。
现将petition letter, response to RFE, index to exhibits of the petition
letter共享。删去个人信息和具体研究信息。虽然研究信息大量用了????来代替，但是
整个框架应该还是清楚明了的，希望框架对大家有所帮助。
2. Assembling
本版置顶文章的资源里有很好关于装订的文章。我就不重复了。这里讲几个自己的小经
验。
(2.1)
我没有统一编页码。我是用彩色笔在每页右下角标上编号（不是页码）。
比如Dr.NiuBi Professor的推荐信和他的背景介绍，我就是在Index to Exhibit里说明：
2 pages of reference letters, plus one page of introduction of his honors.
然后用彩色笔在每页右下角标上编号：
Exhibit A1.1
Exhibit A1.2
Exhibit A1.3
我觉得这样如果材料拆散了，IO更容易知道哪几页是一块的。
(2.2)用A4纸分开各个类别。在此A4纸上写上
申请类别，申请人姓名，receipt number，以及此后材料的类别，比如：
Exhibit A: Reference Letters
然后用彩色label，贴在此分割页的下方，手写“Exhibit A”。
我用了7-8个彩色label.
3. 邮寄问题
Instruction上写的很清楚。所以仔细阅读。
可以提醒的一点是，我邮寄I-140的地址是PO Box。
我寄的Express要求签名。从邮件track信息看，第二天上午到，但是没人签名，于是退
回邮局。我当时想PO Box当然没人守候啦，那我要求签名是不是一个坏招。正想着打电
话叫邮局不要签名了。后来上本版考古加请教，得知应该没关系，会有人去取。
后来是第二天移民局专门有人去邮局取。所以这里提前通知后人，免得恐慌。
这样一来，其实用一般Tracker service就可以了。后来我用了Priority Mail.
祝大家顺利。
我申请过程的心态就是，随天。
早拿不到绿卡就晚拿，拿不到就回国。所谓：
此处不留爷，自有留爷处。处处不留爷，爷会本原处。
