至少我看到有推荐信这样写：
His excellence rests not only in his own research, but also in his
exceptional service to the research community, as demonstrated by his name
appearing in the acknowledgements of many top journals, including Science
and Nature.

我们researcher可能都觉得没有多少credit。毕竟不在author list里面。
但是IO可能搞不清啊，说不定还觉得比较突出，把你的名字和funding agency放在一起
acknowledge,当然如果是在牛刊上比较有说服力。

怎么知道有没有在别人的acknowledgement里？

通常在合作项目文章里面，你有一定贡献，但是又不太合适放在作者列表里，你就在别
人的致谢里了。至于如何知道，那要看文章作者有没有通知你，或者你有没有关注与你
合作人员的文章了。

google你的名字也可能搜到。俺的因为语言帮助致谢，弱啊。。。

其实就是作者觉得你的贡献不够essential而不愿意把你放到author list里面但是又不
好意思欲据还迎的象征性的做做样子。也许只是我有过类似的不好的经历吧~

不至于到了这里面找publication吧
不过被致谢了，可以让那个老板给写nice得推荐信阿，这个还是很reasonable得
