I went to do fingerprint today and filed the " country of birth " as "P.R.
CHINA" in the worksheet. However the lady input "RC"
in their computer. I asked her what "RC" means and she said it means "
Republic of China". Does "RC" means Taiwan?
Some people saying the "RC" means "PRC" in the USCIS system. Is that correct
? Otherwise I have to go back to the fingerprint place to change it tomorrow.

我打指纹时他们告诉我RC就是people's republic of china。我还特意问是不是
mainland china，他说是。
民国的通用简称是ROC，不知USCIS是怎么给简称的。

不用太担心，只要他们自己内部觉得没有问题就可以了。

你不是提交了护照复印件，没有问题，如果收到卡发现问题，是他们的错，你提交的护
照复印件，他们会改的

I called USCIS and the country of birth still is P.R. China in their system.
So I don't need to worry there will be something wrong on the green card.
She also mentioned the fingerprint place has a different system and she don'
t know what kind of country code they used for P.R. China.
