In response to my recent inquiry on your behalf, I was contacted by
officials at the Texas Service Center (TSC) reporting on the status of your
I 485 Petition, (Employment Based) to Register Legal Permanent Resident
Status as ＊＊ as requested.
Officials at the TSC reviewed your records and confirmed that they received
your application on March 9, 2016. According to officials at the TSC, they
received your application on March 9, 2016. At the present time, they are
processing I 485 employment based petitions that were filed on September 15,
2015. Therefore, you are still within the normal processing time.
In fairness to all applicants, USCIS regulations require that all
applications/petitions are processed strictly in the date order of their
receipt of the Service Center. The only exception is if the applicant meets
the USCIS expedite criteria. This criteria is explained on the USCIS
website, if you feel that you have an extraordinary need.
You can also continue to check on the status of your application by
accessing their website at: www.uscis.gov and enter your receipt number in
the Case Status Box or you can call the Customer Service Line at: 1-800-
375-5283.
Although I regret that we could not provide you with a more definitive
