这个主要是涉及到1）是否需用AP返美后，之前提交的H1B extension petition会被作
废；和2）如果上述，那么是否应该在离开美国之前就激活EAD的问题。就这些问题咨询
了学校负责人，她今天给我了回复如下：
This is a very unclear area of the law and I wanted to be sure of the answer
. I have consulted with three different immigration attorneys and although
they don’t all agree, the majority opinion is that if you have not used
your work permit to work outside of ISU, then you will remain eligible to
work as an H-1 even after you return to the U.S. using advance parole.
Therefore, you will not need to activate your EAD for employment unless you
have used your card for employment outside of ISU.

至于H1B petition会不会被拒，没明说，但我理解是不会，所以第二个问题就可以忽视
了。
从信中还可以看出，律师们对这个问题也看法不一。此外，这个负责人（办事还是靠谱
的）明确告知这期间用AP出入境是没问题的。
