可以申请身份延期，如果过期前可以把申请寄到移民局

问题是身份延期一般要四五个月才决定。如果离开美国就自动放弃，所以他们下个星期
离开是不会收到批准的。申请身份延期的作用就是防止签证作废（因为逗留超过I-94上
的日期会导致签证自动作废，而且以后只能在中国签美国签证；但是有pending的身份
延期申请期间不会产生这个），但是这必须是及时申请的（就是I-94上的日期前申请的
）延期才算。如果是晚的申请，就不起到这个作用。
