如何把自己的DOMAIN 和WEB SPACE 连起来?
我在MyValueHost.com注册了一个DOMAIN, 一年才$4,但是不租他的WEB SPACE,
有什么办法可以把DOMAIN, 比如:WWW.BEARBULL.ORG同我一个网点连上,比如说,
WWW.MITBBS.COM/~BEARBULL?

1. Point the DNS entries of your domain to your hosting company's DNS servers.
2. The hosting company's DNS servers need to point your domain/sub-domain name
to your virtual server/directory.
The second step is typically set up automatically when you sign up with the
hosting company.

Don't know about myvaluehost.com, but normally, just login to your account
where you registered your domain, and it should give you a configuration page.
Change at least the first two DNS entries.

yep, it has DSN entries for configure. Current are set to
ns1.myvaluehost.com,
I can change it to www.ibm.com for example, but can't change it to
www.mitbbs.com

No, not www.mitbbs.com. It needs to be a valid DNS server. www.mitbbs.com is
not a DNS server. It is a web server.
You need to ask mitbbs if it even allows the kind of connection you want. If
so, they will tell you what DNS servers to use. If not, you are out of luck.

thx a lot. I think I understand now.
For example, I want link www.mydomain.org to www.yahoo.com/perosal/mywebpage.
I need register to another public DNS server.
Where can I get such a server?

Every hosting company has its own DNS servers. If your hosting plan includes
an option like "yourdomain.com", then you can use their DNS servers. The free
Yahoo webpage DOES NOT include this service, but you can pay Yahoo to add the
option.

what if my webpage is just on my PC, which is linked to interest with
static IP address? for example if you use:
128.200.100.1/nidm to reach me.
Now I want www.Mydomain.org can reach me too?

which is basically a DNS server that keeps track of what your IP is. Good for
running servers off broadband access.

如果ip是动态的,有专门的动态域名解析软件卖,还送空间什么的
如果ip是固定的,应该还简单,不过不懂怎么弄了,久不玩生疏了
你可以google一下"动态域名解析"或者干脆用"花生壳"的服务就可以了.
这儿有个连接,你学习一下,不过不代表我向你推荐这个软件,我没用过
