currently the return of MM MFs is worse than better part of savings/CD.

it is in IRA. cannot put it in saving in my case :)

Take a look at Vanguard prime money market fund. If you want a smaller risk,
you can try Vanguard federal money market fund, but the return is smaller.
Also look at citibank ultimate savings account. It is FDIC insured.

my advice is I saving bond. The current rate is 5.64%. One person can only
buy 10k/year.
