I started tomcat, but it just does not go forward unless I actually used
eclipse to connect to it.
then after that I could disconnect and tomcat goes on fine
this does not make much sense.... debugger should be optional, right?

this is my start script:
export JAVA_OPTS=' -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=1044,server
=y '
apache-tomcat-6.0.32/bin/startup.sh

加上suspend=n再试试

First add Tomcat to Eclipse runtime server,
From Eclipse run menu,
Debug as -> Debug o server (tomcat)
