It is an expensive place, how can you survive without pay.
I doubt this is legal at all, so don't recommend.

我不住纽约，拿这个offer也是为将来进consulting铺路～现在job market不好找啊
公司还是legitimate 的，只是小咨询公司不太正式，年底给我w2
刚发信问他们了能不能get paid on regular basis~~~~~

How do you get H1B?
I saw some people were visited by CIS agents, to make sure the job is
real, the employee is physically working at a company, get paid
and the company pays all fees for H1B.
In your case, you'll work at home and not paid on time.
I think it is risky.
Why go consulting?

一般在家工作有很多都是骗钱的啊。。。
一个正常的公司不应该拒绝regular basis的paycheck的。因为一个项目要很久啊，你
要charge你每天的时间的。一个正规的公司会有一个系统让你charge time的，不然他
们怎么记得住啊?contractor公司没有，客户的公司也应该有。 你100% sure这个不是
骗劳动力骗钱的？
