我的情况是这样的：明年spring学期上完最后一门课，5月master毕业，刚拿到offer用CPT
工作，打算毕业后用OPT工作同时申请明年的H1B。
问题是公司的律师现在开始帮我申请今年的H1B，说是还有名额，让我赶快file.我担心
的是我的master学位还没有拿到，怕申请H1B成功率不大，一但被拒，我还能用我的F1
身份吗？

I am in a similar situation. I decided not to apply for H1B right now. AFAIK
, if you get rejected, you will keep your F1 status; but if you get approved
, you cannot apply for OPT. Keep in mind that you can only hold an H1B visa
for 6 consecutive years. You have to get your green card in these 6 years.
So don't waste the first year. I will submitted my application for 申请明年
的H1B before April 1.

但是不知道明年h1b会不会还向今年这样不用抽签。还有，想问问如果我现在申请，是
不是只能用普通的名额？只能用本科学为申请？那要是我本科的专业和现在工作的不相
关呢？
