In theory, once you H1B were issued, your I-20 would get void. I would say
it is impossible for your OPT to void your H1B.

your H1B were approved earlier than your OPT. However, in your case, I would
safely say unless you did PP H1B, you would be fine. The processing
timeline of H1B is just too long to be finished in 3 months.

到了10月1号，status就自动变成H1b了，以前的F1(OPT)就自动失效了，在这之前，理
论上讲H1b的申请是不影响F1 Status的，也不应该会影响到OPT的审批，opt本来就是在
F1里面的工作许可而已，不牵涉到Change of Statues.
不过谁也不知道UCSIS会怎么批，他们可以批准或者拒绝申请不需要太多理由的，还是
需要有运气，至少要碰到懂得规则的officer审理你的case.
我现在也是这个情况，希望大家都好运。

The newest version of the H-1B petition forms allow us to include the SEVIS
number for F-1 students. This allows the USCIS and SEVIS to communicate so
that F-1 students applying for OPT and H-1Bs simultaneously should not be
kicked out of SEVIS and thus denied their OPT EAD. It is not a foolproof
method, and sometimes issues do arise, but many people have successfully
filed H-1B change of status petitions and OPT EAD applications
simultaneously without problems. Please check with your school's DSO for
further guidance, but our opinion is that there is not a problem with this
approach.
