这个合作者，实际上算是博士导师之一
一起工作很多年了，出了很多文章；
我们这个小方向很窄，应用也很窄，基本上只有几家在做，一只手数的过来
互为一二作，后来他忙着跑项目，不咋亲自写了，文章都从我这边出
后来他的RO1项目在原来的学校做不下去，盘算搬lab到一个更好的学校
当时他这么几种打算
1. 推荐我去更好的学校，帮他发理论文章
这条路试过已经断了，chair不理解基础研究的长效性，嫌外部资金迟迟不到位，已经
不愿意投钱养个专职科研岗了；给加了teaching load；完菜
2. 他自己去跟理想的目标R1学校谈
把lab和人员打包搬过去，这个过程真是漫长，从他说去谈，过去很久了，还没音信
我已经把自己的困难给他说了，没有任何资源干他的项目
帮他做的这个小领域的文章基本也只有他那个项目才有钱支持
但是即使他想办法支持单个人的理论研究，不建lab面对竞争基本也只有死路一条
是不是干脆放弃，转行卖大米得了？

I wanted to follow up with you in regards to our chat. I got a chance to
sync up with the hiring team and although the feedback I got was positive,
the team didn’t feel that your background was a perfect match for the
current needs. That being said, we really enjoyed talking with you and would
