大家好~
（之前在版上发过，谢谢大家回复! 因为学校和律师方案不同，所以重发一次~ ）
我的F1是9月21号到期，h1b批了，10月1号生效。帮忙办h1b的律师说，对这9天gap要申
请cap-gap relief, 让找学校申请新的i 20，标明是cap-gap relief, 确保9月30号到
期就可。但是学校说，我的program过期后有60天grace period, 不需要申请，还打电
话问了sevp(sevis下属部门），确认我不需要extend I-20。我是语言学校，无opt/cpt
。
咨询了几位外面的律师，有说depends, 有说不需要。请问大家有类似的经历么？多谢

今天公司说不用延期，用grace period就好
(Update下，希望能为别人带来参考。不过事关签证/status，不同人情况也可能不通，
建议大家多和学校，公司沟通，或者找第三方律师咨询，以备万一。。当然，希望大家
都顺利，不需要经历这些事情：））

我是让学校弄了cap-gap，就打印一下新的i20，上面写了cap-gap而已，很简单的，我
觉得是你们学校处理这件事情的人搞不清楚状况。
而且我的理解是，你用grace period也行，但是grace period是不能上班的吧，你打算
那段时间休假？

学校说可以办cap-gap relief，只是既然有grace period来cover, 就没有必要了。我
因为没有opt/cpt，无法上班，只能等10月1号再上班。
请问你的i20是啥时候到期? 你也是新h1b10月1号生效么？你公司和学校怎么说的（不
好意思，问题有点多 : ) )

if your "F1 到期" means you got degree or 语言学校 program ends, yes , you
have grace period. If "F1 到期" is you quit school, or not continuing your
unfinished program, you DO NOT have grace period and F1 end date is NOT I-
20 expire date, but your quit date or last day in the program. For example
A, your I-20 expires Sept 20, but you quit school and the last day of
registration was in Spring semester, then USCIS will (when they need to
decide your illegal days)consider May or whatever last day in the spring
semester your last day in F1 status, NO grace period. For example B, your I
-20 expires Sept 20, but you graduated with your degree in June and no OPT
applied, USCIS will consider June+60 days grace period.

哦，我没搞清楚情况，我直接以为是opt也那个时候到期了。。。。。那你的情况确实
似乎有grace就行了

哦，好的，多谢你的解释：） ~我在语言学校I 20说，"... have to complete
program no later than Sep 21 ... ", 我认为那就是I-20/F1到期。对吧？
