Position Summary
Adobe is looking for a self-motivated development engineer to join the
globalization team. To expand international markets, the globalization team
explores emerging technologies and delivers cross-language solutions for
Adobe products. In particular, we offer internationalization and linguistic
web services for our cloud product offerings. The successful candidate will
have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment,
designing and implementing software solutions in a timely manner while
sustaining maximum software quality. You will work closely with software
architects, product, and program management teams from different product
teams throughout the company.
Responsibilities
• Add features to machine learning technologies to support more
languages and improve quality & performance
• Create components, design and develop globalization web services
APIs that can be integrated into service oriented architecture exposed via
RESTful APIs
• Collaborate closely with fellow engineers and product management to
ensure functionality is designed properly so that it’s stable, scalable,
usable, of high quality and meet customer needs
• Research, experiment, build prototypes using new technologies such
as machine learning applicable to the proposed solutions
• Partner with external teams to understand frameworks or tools being
developed elsewhere to identify areas where the team can leverage, co-
develop, or share technologies
• Computer Science degree with 5 or more years of experience, or
equivalent knowledge. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
and algorithms
• C/C++, Java, Objective C, Ruby, Python or other OOP language
experience in developing/designing large-scale software systems
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to articulate design
and write specifications with minimal guidance
• Experience with Ontologies development like dbpedia, Owlim, Yago,
Wordnet
• Academic knowledge with machine learning technologies like SVM, Nai&
#776;ve Bayes,
Neural Networks, Clustering algorithms and recommendation systems.
Experience with related libraries libsvm, Apache Mahout and any related
algorithm development is highly desirable
• Formal knowledge of NLP (Natural Language Processing) is highly
desirable. Experience in languages other than English is a big plus
• Experience in agile development is preferred
• Experience in developing cloud, analytics and social media
applications is
preferred
