OPERATIONS ENGINEER

your work and development environment? Our business is growing fast and we
need your help!
Join our great team based in Portland, Oregon. We have remote members in San
Diego, Los Angeles, Bend and Winnipeg. Our very nice office is in Southeast
Portland's Ford Building. We have a preference for people in Portland or the
Pacific time zone but will consider remote folks who are willing to travel
occasionally.
Our current ops infrastructure is sensible and works well. Can you take it
to the next level? Handle 10X purchase volume? 100X? Scale across continents?
The Dev Ops team works closely with the software developers, sometimes pair
programming. This means you get your hands into our Rails code. We have
dedicated hardware and virtual nodes at Rackspace. Everything is configured
with Chef, and we also use Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu/OS X, Nagios, Ganglia, git,
Redis, and MySQL. We run a standard Ruby on Rails stack and also support
iOS and Android apps.
