我的问题是关于CAP exempt H1B申请的，谢谢大家了！！！我的情况是： OPT在2012年
10月31日expired,在60天的grace period 内（2012年11月22日）申请了change of
status (F1-F2)，目前uscis网站显示还在initial review 这个申请。最近在找工作，
工作单位想给我办H1B尽快上班。可是问题就来了。。
工作单位希望给我申请adjudication of the change of status to F-2 followed by
the change of status to H-1B. 但是他们又说有可能H1先批下来，F2后批下来。这样
我就又不能上班了，还需要离开美国，用automatic revalidation 再回来等等。请问
大家有熟悉这种情况的吗？ 我copy 了单位给我的email 在下面， 先谢谢大家了！！

In this scenario, two outcomes are possible:
1. The USCIS will adjudicate the F-2 first and then the H-1B. The result
would be that the H-1B is decided last, and you would therefore be in H-1B
status. No further action would be necessary until the first time you
travel outside of the U.S. and need to apply for an H-1B entry visa.
2. The USCIS will adjudicate the change of status to H-1B first, but either
not adjudicate the change of status to F-2 until later or adjudicate it
second. In this case, the last action applies, so would could be considered
in F-2 status and not eligible for work permission. Because you would have
an H-1B approval in hand, the situation could be quickly resolved using
automatic visa revalidation. You would present your I-797 notice with H-1B
approval for re-entry from Canada or Mexico. The disadvantage of this is,
of course, that you have to plan for travel rather quickly. Also, if you
decided to apply for an H-1B entry visa while in Canada or Mexico, you are
no longer eligible for automatic visa revalidation and would need to wait
out the duration of the visa process in that country.
