If you plan to jump out of the company next year and get regular-cap h1b, then extend OPT. Otherwise you can save the money and let they file H1b for you.
I don't have any plan to jump out of my current working unit. So OPT extension is not necessary? If I can not get the Cap exempt H1B by early Aug when my OPT expires, I am not able to work, right?
