Chemical Data Analyst (Bethesda, MD) 3E Company is seeking to hire a
Chemical Data Analyst to be based in the Bethesda, MD office.
Responsibilities:
•Be part of a team that converts chemical regulations into searchable
databases for compliance purposes
•Analyzes chemical regulations and resolves complex compliance issues
•Develops data structures to represent the regulation; normalizes the
data
•Uses scientific judgment to determine CAS RNs for listed substances
and to populate generic groups with individual members
•Runs production procedures and database programs
•Documents processes & policies; recommends improvements
•Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan
•Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned
•Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable
accommodation
Qualifications
•MS in Chemical Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
•Strong foundation in organic, inorganic and reaction chemistry,
including chemical nomenclature, structures, formulae and families.
•Reliable scientific judgment and professional discretion to make
decisions relating to industry compliance.
•Proficiency with databases and programming helpful. International
regulatory experience a plus.
•Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment,
including building relationships with staff in other departments.
