This individual will lead the effort to design and validate the firmware for
various controllers for battery and power electronics systems. The
engineer’s responsibility will extend through validation and
commercialization of our products. It is expected that this individual will
have extensive experience in constructing state machines, identifying and
addressing boundary conditions, and recursive testing in order to produce
high-quality, robust code.
This individual will leverage the existing core technology of the Active
Energy group to deliver embedded software for refined Li-ion battery-based
UPS solutions for the Data Center and Telecom markets. This individual will
interface internally with other engineering groups, the validation
organization, and (on occasion) customer in order to deliver world-class
products.
Position Responsibilities:
•Construction and implementation of controller for
battery and power electronics systems
•Development and demonstration of software functions
•Work with hardware team to design and release
PCB’s to perform intended control functions
Ensure software adherence to industry standards.
•Interface with customers and marketing to ensure
that the products meet expectations
Qualifications:
•At least 5 years of technical experience in embedded software
development.
•Experience in analog and digital circuit design
•Very proficient in C, C++, and C#
•Experience in Data Center or Telecom markets preferred.
•Experience with the control of Li-ion batteries a plus.
•Experience with global engineering teams.
•BS in ECE, CS, or EECS required, Master’s degree preferred.
