Sr. Software Engineer

We’re looking for crazy smart, creative thinkers who are passionate about
finding new and innovative ways to address “old” problems. As a Software
Engineer, you’ll use your broad web development skills, ideally including
Ruby on Rails and MySQL, and Agile development methods to develop
applications and systems that enable our business.
Specifically, you will:
Design, scope, and implement new systems and features -- from processing
financial transactions, to aggregating data on customers, to analyzing
metrics and loan performance information.
Work with Product Management, Marketing, and Business to establish features,
priorities, and timelines. This ranges from devising an attribution system
for TV commercials, to establishing relationships with third party data
providers.
Lead and mentor more junior team members and perform as a subject matter
expert in your field of expertise.
Skills & Requirements
To succeed in this position your background should include:
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large scale
software systems and/or high transactional web applications.
A proven, demonstrable track record of success.
Extensive programming experience in one or more areas.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis
Experience working with common Internet technologies (e.g. CSS, HTML,
Javascript, AJAX)
Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed
systems (network analysis, performance, and application issues)
Experience with large scale data storage and analysis (e.g. datawarehouse,
Hadoop)
