Silicon Labs (formerly Ember) seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to work on our
wireless development tools and reference application software. As part of
our tools and applications team, you will help build innovative network
analysis tools, graphical application builder tools and embedded networking
software which runs on our 802.15.4 system-on-chip. Silicon Labs customers
use these tools and our reference application software to design and develop
end products incorporating our embedded wireless networking technology. Our
customers are some of the leading companies working on Smart Grid, energy
saving devices, home automation and a variety of other applications that
require highly reliable, low cost, wireless networking. You will be part of
a small, elite software team where every member has significant impact and
responsibility for the end product.
Responsibilities
Develop code to expand the breadth of support for our device reference
implementations Participate in the definition and implementation of an
Eclipse based development environment for embedded wireless networking
applications Participate in ZigBee working groups to define industry
standard protocols for use on a wide variety of device types Work closely
with networking, platform and QA teams to fully understand system wide
functionality and integration issues and implement high quality solutions
for our customers Work with customers during product definition and delivery
Ensure that the User Experience for the product is superior
