我以前是在湾区,但因为男朋友在微软工作,所以我是今年六月下旬入职AWS组的,刚
来到Amazon没多久,做了一些code review,但是新人对环境不熟悉,提交的code有
一些问题,又因为种种原因,没有及时回应别人提出的意见,比如别人提出的修改没有
完成,老板提过一些意见,但是最近又做了一个其他的code review, 结果问题还是没
有完全改正,老板一怒把我放在了pip上了,要求三十天改正,否则就走人。而我才来了
两个月零一天。我的确code review有些问题,但是也不过才来了两个月,还在熟悉中。
在pip的说明里面,老板给我布置了两个编程任务,一个是9月初完成,一个是25日完成
,并明确了完成的具体事项,和注意的问题。并且还要求我跟sde ii明天去讨论。
现在问题 来了:这个pip是真让我改正,还是假的只是赶我走?
1,如果pip是真,老板的确是对我失望,希望我改正,我当然愿意努力改正,因为老板
在pip布置的两个任务,我是能够保质保量完成的,届时他也没话说了。
2,如果pip为假,那就是赶我走的前奏。那我就应该申请fmla伤残或者其他方式短假,
这样可以延长三个月的机会找工作。
我也搞不清这个问题是真是假。但是无论如何我已经开始找工作了,只是如果pip为假
的话,我就不需要再努力了,不必等一个月,而是争取三个月。
有什么办法能搞清老板的动机?我希望下次见他面搞清他的动机,这样好立即行动起来
。不能拖延了。
话说亚马逊也真是太奇葩,两个月就pip人

To help you improve your performance, I suggest the following:
Set up weekly 1:1 meetings with your mentor,****** During that time, you
should solicit feedback and ask for guidance on your areas for improvement.
Set up periodic pair programming sessions with SDE2s on our team in order to
learn best practices. You can shadow them and have them shadow you. During
this time, take detailed notes and internalize our team’s best practices to
minimize churn on your own code reviews.
Conduct code reviews for your peers. This will give you more insight into
what our expectations are for quality code.
While I’m willing to provide assistance, coaching, and support in helping
you improve your performance, it is important for you to understand that the
responsibility for bringing your performance up to an acceptable level
rests with you. We will review your progress on a weekly basis during our 1:
1s. Depending upon your performance during the PIP period, the length of
your PIP could be lengthened or shortened. You are encouraged to discuss any
concerns or questions you may have regarding this PIP with me, or your HR
Business Partner.
