our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales
representatives, as well as through our extensive web site.
Position Summary – Automation Systems Engineer
To create and improve automated assembly, inspection & production test
systems, and device handlers, applicable to RF & Microwave components.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyze all aspects of assembly/inspection & mechanical test processes, and
identify where automation can be justified based on needs for capacity,
efficiency and process control. Provide technical information,
definition and process flowcharts of flexible and saleable automation
alternatives.
Prepare project plan proposals for automation including objective, scope,
expected outcomes, resources required, and budgeted costs.
Take leadership in communication with project stakeholders through the
duration of the project FROM concept, feasibility, procurement/
manufacturing TO qualification.
Create documentation of each phase of a project, SOW, qualification/buy-off
test plans, qualification report, operational manual.
Responsible for training the end-users and the equipment support personnel.&

Provide solutions & support for continuous improvement of the existing
automated systems.
Keep track of engineering changes (ECNs) and update the necessary ISO-
controlled documents.
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the related technical fields
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS/ MS in Mechanical, Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
At least one year of RELATED work experience (including internships).
Able to define, develop and deploy automation.
Knowledge of automation systems and tools.
Real experience in programming microcontrollers utilizing C/C++.
Real experience with analytical software, advanced Excel, MS Project and MS
Word.
Real experience with mechanical tooling and creating fixtures.
Practical knowledge of machine sensors,automated test & inspection systems.
Solidworks or AutoCAD.
Excellent communication skills, a team player
Strong work ethic, goal-oriented, passionate & wanting to meet or exceed
company’s high expectations.
Ability to work in a fast-changing, quality-oriented, continuous improvement
& dynamic environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO manufacturing requirements.
Knowledge of project costing and ROI
Practical experience in efficiency optimization OEE analysis (Overall
Equipment Efficiency).
Ability to easily walk, bend and work on a desktop for long periods of time
surrounded by equipment and hi/low tech machinery.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Real experience with or knowledge of:
Feeding and packing systems Conveyer speed/position controls
Pneumatic controls and components
Liquid dispensing processes
