我朋友Phd刚毕业，要用opt去某校当postdoc，ead卡上的生效日期是7月15号。
学校的offer letter上说I am pleased to notify you of your appointment as
postdoc in the Department of xxx for the 2018-2019 academic year, effective
July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. The actual service period for the
academic year is September 24, 2018 through June 21, 2019.
请问在这种情况下，我朋友在report opt employment的时候，哪个才应该是
employment start date？他已经收到了7月份学校发的整月工资，但他人又没有在七月
开始正式工作。
