I just got tenure while getting a few offers at the same time.
Which one is better for my career, family and personal life?
All offers are tenured associate professor position.
Offer 1: State University, Ranking is 100+, big city, very convenient, I
have a few family members (aunts, uncles) in that city which is a plus.
Weather is great, a lot of sunshine.
Offer 2: State University, Ranking is 40-50, college town, midwest. Pros:
Big Ten School. Cons: weather is bad and boring.
Housing price should be similar. I may buy a $800k house at City 1 and
similar house costs $450k at City 2.
Really need advice...thanks.
