10来个人，Director级别？ 那10个人，CEO， CFO， VP若干，Director 是公司里最
低级的了？

我觉得，虽然问起来是很mean，但不无道理
如果单纯以director来看，工资应该是很高，但以你的描述加楼上的分析，很难衡量。
当然，我没经验，不清楚，呵呵。

the engineers, but the VP might have more stock options/profit sharing.

startup的应该是赌它上市赚股份的吧，然后工资就当零头?
我有个邻居由某大公司降很多工资而跳去一个startup，期望它能上市，但几年过去，
看见的希望越来越少，已经心灰意懒了……

the way I see it, while it may be hard to judge a start-up from the
outside, if you actually work there, in as little as a couple of
months, you can pretty much tell whether it is going to hit it big or
not. If your neighbor was already somewhat seasoned before joining, but
somehow failed to realize the company was going nowhere, it's kind of
his fault for not being sensitive enough to the risks involved in
working at a startup.

If your new company is anything like what I described, I suggest you
hang out with the marketing guy as much as you can because he is very
likely the one that makes or breaks the company.
