Be very careful when you wind up the new one, some are very very strong (the
kind that winds parallel to top of garage door), if you let go half way by
accident, it can almost kill you, I am not kidding.
The kind that stretch length wise is a little safer.
If you don't know what you doing, better leave to pro.

那里找专业人士呢？是不是找车库门的dealer还是黄页上找呢？
自己装过一次车库那个控制器，换弹簧比那个危险多了，是吗？
只坏了一个，不是必须换2个把

成本: LOWES $13.88 universal 的弹簧. 小二建议我买两个, 说是一起换比较好.
要注意的地方, 不要用电动了, 打到手到, 把门推到最上边, 再转到电动挡, 门就不回
自己划下来.
在最上面的时候, 弹簧在最松弛状态, 不会打到人.
剩下的参照没坏的那边, 很快的小活.

我们上次换控制器的时候，就用手往上推就把门推上去了，不晓得弹簧断了的话，还能

我的是SINGLE SPRING.
手动, 就是把车库上的那个绳拉到下面, 就可一手控制门了. 到上面后, 在把那个拉下
来的拨回去.
我没有断电.

粗略的看了一下录像，我家的好象没这么复杂啊，就是一个不粗的弹簧拉着两个小滑轮
，就是用铁丝之类的拉着的，弹簧的一端好像断了，一个小滑轮掉下来了

我家的刚换完，找人来给换的，换就要换2个，因为新旧弹簧拉力不一样。找了个中国
人的contractor,连材料一共120.我看他弄得满手都油乎乎的，还是找人弄好点

I changed mine twice in 15 years, gezhi is right, be careful
when doing this. You don't need to be too strong, just need
to understand the potential energy building up as you wound
the spring.
You need to get the right size spring, the store will get you
the right one if you tell them the size and material of your
garage door. Home Depot and Lowes don't carry torsion springs.
You typically need to wound the spring 7 and 1/2 turns to get
the right tension (you know it's right when you can lift

LZ's spring is the easy to change yourself type. Go to HD or Lowes
to get a pair. There is a wire that goes through the spring so
it won't fly off and hit somebody.
Get a friend to help you lift the door to the up position.
Torsion spring is more common for older homes or more expensive
homes. The type LZ has is more commonly use now because they are
less dangerous and most people can DIY.

no need to shut off power, you need to unlatch the door from the drive
chain so it can move freely. Jam the door in the up position so it won't
slide down while you are changing the spring.

谢谢大家，终于换好了，操作其实很容易，可是选弹簧费了大周折，homedepot看了旧
弹簧的颜色，一个年轻店员说是褐色，160磅的，一个老店员说是红色，150磅的，年轻
店员说是以老店员为准，买了150磅的，装好，不work，门会自动弹上去，接着去lowes
/homedepot，这次店员建议换120磅的，买了120磅，110磅的回家，先换了120磅的，不
work，换110磅的，还是不work，呜呜呜呜呜，最后又去换了90磅的，终于work了。到
最后，老公换一个弹簧只要5分钟了，完全熟练工人。
其实我俩现在感觉弹簧根本是75磅的，我第一次去买的时候就跟店员说隐约记得家里另
外几根弹簧是橙色的（75磅），我们拿去的那根旧的估计颜色蜕变才有点像褐色红色了
，他们都不信，主要也是75磅弹簧太细了，我家的弹簧跟120磅弹簧的直径相仿，所以
造成这么多麻烦。
想请问，我们还有必要再去换成75磅的弹簧吗？如果真的是75磅的，用了90磅的，会不
会会对门不好呢？

Spring will loose a little tension over time.
It should be based on what kind of door you have, single or double? Wood
door are usually very heavy, non-insulated steel are very light, and many
kind in between.
My garage doors weight over 500 lbs each, but when balanced right with
spring, you can move it up and down with only 1 finger and can stop in any
position ( will not move up or down by itself)

single door吧，一共两个门，分开的，材料，我不知道啊，估计不是木的吧，没那么
重，也就100来磅不到200磅吧，我猜可能是150磅？
如果是150磅的门，用了两个90磅的弹簧，是不是还是换了好呢？还是无所谓？

重，也就100来磅不到200磅吧，我猜可能是150磅？
如果是150磅的门，用了两个90磅的弹簧，是不是还是换了好呢？还是无所谓？
