英语如何？回答问题能力如何？一般是10个中挑选2-3个吗？
太郁闷了唯一的两个电面都没拿到onsite 不知什么地方出了问题
实验室有个老美每个电面都能拿到onsite

知名大公司，不说名字大家也知道了。由于签了NDA, 不好说太多细节。若是有兴趣
的话，可以私下交流。
上次onsite结果不能move on, 最近要第二次onsite。上来发第一次onsite面经，为
第二次onsite求祝福，希望这次能有个好结果。
第一次onsite见了5个人。
1.
a. design problem. 问了很多design的细节，包括api, system design，
communication protocols等等. 第一个人的问题我有点措手不及，原以为都是
algorithm 和coding.
2.
a. 一个有向图的问题, coding
b. 经典 string 问题， coding
c. extended problem b for large number of severs, cpus.
lunch
3.
a. 又是一个string的问题，类似permutaions.
b. extend a to a DP problem.
c. a lot of c++ questions。
4.
a. 把一个树转化成一个矩阵, coding.
b. stl vector的问题，以前讨论过的。
5.
stack 的经典问题
mutex class，multi-thread, deadlocks etc..
大部分都要coding，提醒大家注意的是，coding时要及时和面试官交流。其中一个面
试官在copy我白板上code 时，有一个地方他理解错了，幸亏及时交流他才改过来。
不过也怪我写字难看。
最后也祝板里的诸位找工作一路顺利

我有个朋友刚看过《射雕英雄传》，对"打狗棍法"非常感兴趣，经常跟别人开玩笑。
一日，他又照例而为。踢了别人一下，大喝一声："踢狗腿！"大家狂笑，他也觉尴
尬，就又踢了一脚，大喊："狗踢腿！"，大家狂笑不止，他又觉尴尬，就复踢了一脚，
大喊："踢腿狗！"

才是口语及笑容(如果是skype)比较重要
其他当然回答不偏差。。
尽量让他们喜欢你。。
其他不了解

记得有兄弟在班上贴过。
一般店面就是看看你的口语，交流和对将来的计划，多半是这样的问题：
introduce yourself and your research proposal
how you plan to secure funding?
What do you see yourself in another 5 years? And in long term(career wise)?
How you gonna achieve these goal?(we want to see someone who has realistic
ambition with practical procedure to achieve these goals)
How you distinguish yourself from your phd/postdoc advisor?(Esp for those
from famous groups, we want to make sure your great publications are not
from a Robot, we want someone who has a scientific soul to become
independent and establish himself)

Usually if a candidate fail the phone/skype interview is because:
1. Poor communication skills(including English but sometimes someone may
speak fluent English without the ability to make himself clear, then he will
fail. Dont talk too little or too much, talk concisely, but to the point)
2. Never expected the question about career goal(or Five year goal), and
could not give a persuasive answer.
4. Could not distinguish himself from his formal boss. Absolutely a dead
deal.

Communication Skill
之所以用这个词而不是用英语/口语是因为，除了口音和用词，还要思路清晰，说话有
条理，表现出你是一个有想法有计划的人。口音重就说的慢一点儿，突出重点。一定要
慢一点儿啊，慢不下来就说几句停顿一下。不知道怎么突出重点就把重要的点换个说法
重复/总结一下。
另外头几次没有经验当然会紧张啊，多来几次就放松了也会表现的更好了。才1月初呢

Update:
Just finished 2nd onsite, met two people, questions were easier than first
time and also the interviewers were more friendly and showed hints this time
. was told will know the result by the end of this week.
知道结果后再来发详细面经。谢谢大家祝福。
