NIW 7月初递交的材料，11月1日收到RFE，1月17日USCIS收到我的补材料。到今天已经3
个星期了，还是没有任何动静。看到别人跟我差不多递交补材料的，早就已经都
aproved了，不知道我们的怎么回事?大家一般都要等多久才会下来？

来美3年多了，找搬家公司搬家还是第一次。主要是觉得朋友同学大多都三十好几
了，平时都坐办公室，要是为了省些钱，让他们帮我搬家，万一把腰累坏了不好。我就
决定找搬家公司了。
现将过程总结一下，希望跟我没经验的人不要像我吃亏上当！
我在世界日报上的广告上找了20几家打电话问价钱。都是报东西，让他们估价钱。
最后找了一家，报的价钱是中等偏下，是老乡口音，保证不临时加价，消费10%-15%看
心情随便给。叫鸿运，号称700万保险，等等。订的是搬家前一天晚上通个电话确认一
下。
搬家前一天晚上，我打电话过去。那人好像什么都不记得了，还问我订的是多少钱
，从哪搬到哪，订的是第二天早上几点过去……我当时有点懵了。对比之前的保证，那
人好像自己说的话啥都不记得了。我只能又重复一遍，后悔没多找一家垫底，头天晚上
再找心里也没底。但愿第二天他们能准时来。
次日届时，果然一个truck跟仨小子来了。进来一看，把之前的价钱马上推翻了。
说小东西太多，不加100块不行。几经讲价，我加了70。主要也是觉得临时找搬家公司
费时间，不知道能不能找到。我跟我的一个朋友也帮忙搬，大件小件没少使劲，看得主
来他们还是嫌给得少。搬我的东西一点不注意，手头也不利索。我也是傻了，当时没看
着。到了新家以后，我又找了3个朋友帮忙，本来是想让他们帮忙提提小件，装装床的
，可是大件小件他们也没少搬。仨小子又跟我磨磨唧唧，说一楼下有车库，该算二楼什
么的。东西都从车上搬了，他们把车门关了。我老婆问，里面是不是没东西了，其中一
个男的把着门说，没了，放心吧。我老婆进屋传了几圈，大概看看东西差不多，就把钱
给他们了。本来她还要执意让我再看看车里，检查一遍，我没看。
钱付了，搭了包烟，人也走了，我们这才发现，所有的桌面都划花了，餐桌的桌面
也撞裂了。晚上我老婆发现一个大试衣镜没了。我的意思，上当就算了。我老婆还是在
搬家第二天给他们打了个电话，想问问有没有可能镜子落在他们车里了，毕竟我们没做
最后检查，另外也得让他们知道知道桌子划坏了。打过去，那人开始耍无赖，装听不懂
我老婆说啥。后来又说桌子都是在车里放着，怎么能花呢？怎么弄的不知道。然后他说
他当时不在车里，回车里后给我们看看有没有镜子，让我老婆次日再给他打电话。我老
婆就按他说的打了。然后以下就是他说的：
“你他妈的东西丢了找谁啊？”
“谁他妈知道你桌子搬之前什么样？”
“你他妈愿意告谁告谁去！”
……
总结：
既然决定要找搬家公司，就不要图省个百十来块。低价忽悠别人上钩再加价是常用伎俩
。世界日报的广告给钱就登，别相信什么“惠”不“惠”的。千万不要相信他们的保证
，跟放屁没啥区别。建议不要找没有注册的所谓公司。如果是一两个手机号，而且就是
搬家那人接的，八成就是2、3个人的黑户。如果觉得可以，就让他们提前来看一下，准
确估价。正规的搬家公司即使临时加价，也有限度的，不会差太多，因为政府有规定
non-binding price 的价格，超过了，可以投诉。另外要问清他们的注册名，地址等，
可以在网上查。还有就是搬家时要记下他们的车牌号,以备投诉时需要。以下是在网上
找的tips when choosing a mover,仅供参考-
DO:
• Select your mover with care. Make sure the carrier is licensed by
the Commissioner of Transportation. For verification call (800) 786-5368,
or e-mail us at n******[email protected] When checking on a mover please
provide their exact name, and if available, NYDOT number.
• Get at least three estimates, preferably from the movers doing a
physical inspection of your home.
• Insist the mover provide you with a "Summary of Information"
booklet, which describes your rights as a shipper.
• Before anything is moved, make sure the mover has given you an "
Order for Service" with a dollar amount of how much you will have to pay at
delivery in order for the mover to deliver all of you goods.
• Read everything that you sign, and make sure to keep a copy of
each document.
• Make an inventory of all your household goods and include the
number of boxes and condition of your furniture.
• Make sure you understand the liability of the mover. Have the
mover explain his or her liability and how you can purchase additional
coverage.
• Schedule your departure and arrival with enough flexibility to
allow for possible delays.
• Advise the mover of telephone numbers and/or addresses where you
can be reached en route, or at destination.
• File a written claim with the mover for loss and/or damage.
DON'T:
• Use an unlicensed mover.
• Believe that any phone or written estimate given by a mover will
be the actual cost of your move.
• Expect the mover to provide free packing supplies such as boxes,
cartons and barrels. (Note: Should you hire the mover to provide packing
services, then bubble wrap, tape, and similar packing materials are
considered "tools of the trade" and are included in the packing fee.)
• Expect the mover to provide services free of charge, such as
clean-up services, disconnection and reinstallation of appliances, fixtures,
etc...
• Fail to make arrangements to have at the time of delivery, in
cash or certified check, the amount shown on the "Order for Service."
• Sign your name to anything that you haven't read first and then
given your copy of the document.
东西不管多少，都要列清单，照单点数，搬家公司应该提供，自己也要准备。给了
钱，自己就不要动手。留着眼睛看东西！搬之前，让他们看好每件家具是什么样的，以
防耍无赖。查点好东西后再给钱。在这当口千万别不好意思。让他们在门口多呆会不要
紧。钱给了，他们就变成大爷了。不好意思吃大亏。

提前个两三天搬家，别搞到lease的最后一天。
找搬家公司最好先问一圈朋友同事，找经历好的
还有别约早上8点的

uhaul.com 上面找，有很多搬家公司，找一个二十年以上的专业搬家公司。又便宜又放
心。
