我是基于F２A 的亲属移民，130approved,１２月份刚交了485，也拿到485收据了。我
现在是F１，想在下学期改成part time student，于是我发了个Email 给我们学校的
CIP（国际学生处）问一下能不能改，并且问一下我还能不能继续在学校打工，结果得
到如下回复:
CIP does not process Permanent Resident applications so it is best to ask
these questions to an immigration lawyer. However it is my understanding
that it is usually advisable to remain in status while a change of status is
pending. Therefore it might be in your best interest to stay in valid F-1
status and be a full-time student until your new status is approved. If you
do not register full-time we will have to terminate your F-1 SEVIS record.
And then if something goes wrong with your PR application you will not be
able to return to your F-1 status since it will already be canceled. Also
if you do not register full-time in the Spring you are not entitled to
benefits of the F-1 status so you will not be allowed to work on campus (
until your EAD arrives). Please let us know what you decide to do.
我听说交了485很少能被拒的把？如果485被拒，我又已经改成了part time，那就只能
立即离开美国吗？
由于身体原因，上三门课比较吃力，很想少上一门课，休息休息身体。想知道改成part
time有多大风险，要是不值得的话，我只能撑一下了。请教建议。
