国内的同学都说，软件工程师，30以后就要面临转行，据说是呆的越久，越落伍。可是
来到北美后,发现情况不是这样的。为何国内和北美不一样呢。北美60岁做sde的人，有

感觉北美做SDE的大部分都是因为喜欢而做，所以60岁又怎样？
国内是为了养家糊口，码农做牛做马累死累活远不如当个公务员。

国外是英才教育，干这行的大都是从小热爱，有天赋的人，所以即便年纪大了，热情不
减，还是能发光发热。

国内来到北美的SDE有多少是因为兴趣喜欢做呢呢。phd毕业都30左右或者更老了，干到
60，还有30年。国内软工为什么就不能因为兴趣而做到60岁呢？这个问题我也考虑过，
一直没明白。

many sde in china are not doing hard-core tech jobs. they do asp, php, xml

中国的30岁以上的都变成经理了吧，小孩们才是写代码的，所谓的转行应该是指这个

really? how can it be fun if you are coding in C writing embed system,
drivers, or even assembly code.
