费尽了口舌，公司的律师终于答应帮我办理EB1B（公司规定，凡是需要公司sponsor的
case，必须经由公司的律师）。但是需要自己付钱，公司的律师一口气开价$6000，而
且一次付清，不管是否成功。请问这样合理吗？我要怎么argue啊？
听两年前同样自费办理EB1B的人说，公司的那个律师办理EB1B的的能力确实有限，写的
petition letter， reference letter漏洞百出，甚至还有语法错误。一个引用数有
120多，paper差不多20篇，30多个review经验，CMU毕业背景的case，被他搞成RFE。请
问遇到这种情况，该怎么办呢？如果自己另外请律师准备材料，也许到头来，两边的律
师都不会认真负责。请大家给点意见。

no, you should argure. The I-140 is $3000 + $ 1000 (if approved); I-485 for
you and your spouse is $1500 + $ 500 (if approved).
EB1b always requests the company laywer, what you should do is to prepare
all the documents and recommend them to use your materials.

Key is u should select a lawyer who listen to u.
Then how can u use an external lawyer?

什么烂公司呀。这些都有回扣的吧。
认了吧。看来你只能自己DIY，只是让律师签字邮寄好了，白花６千块。。

关键是DIY不自信啊，虽然自己的条件还算不错，16篇paper，100多独立引用，40个
review，但是到了公司律师的嘴里，就变成了not a strong case。感觉帮我办，我已
经要谢天谢地了（不过我的确有点谢天谢地的感觉），和她argue就没有了底气。。。
生怕得罪她。

company lawyer works for the company interest in the application, not yours.
the company interest does not necessarily mean successful application, at
least not top priority.
you need to find a lawyer that works with you like a consultant. my company
lawyer likes to start the conversation with "prove to me why you think you
are qualified..."
