contract上写的是8月30号 or about close.
现在我们所有的都准备好了,可以close了,跟对方商量closing date, 对方一直说不
确定,有可能要延期1个月之类的,总之不能连一个大概的时间也没有。 我们申请的
morgage, lender说必须在9月19号之前close.
现在我们应该怎么办?
有没有人遇到过类似的情况

当时曾经想过,要是史铁生在美国发文章,别人引用,用人名习惯的写法——姓的全拼
+名的首字母(比如刘辉和刘宏都是Liu H),岂不是也很杯具?

you can not force them, but you can walk away if you decide to do so.
suggest you hire a lawyer to talk to the sellers. good luck.

Normally, in face you can force the seller. If they don't respond to the
time of the essence, you can simply claim they breaching the contract and
request all your damages back.

not that simple. you can sue the sellers if they don't close the transaction
, but it will be a lose-lose fight if the buyer insist to do so and may take
for ever to get a result. typically there's no remedy for seller default in
most of states.

Right... I would let the seller delay the closing by two weeks and get an
agreement with the seller about the date through both agents, and ask the
lawyer to make it in writing, saying that both sides' failure to close by
said time will be considered as breaching contract.
