I. Dr. Crystal is an Alien of Extraordinary Ability.
A. Exceptional Authorship
As an outstanding researcher in the field of Chemistry, Dr. Crystal has
exceptional publication records in multiple prestigious peer-reviewed
journals with worldwide circulation. Copies of the first page of her
articles are attached in Exhibit A Page 1-24. The general information of
published articles is:
• Original Research Article: 16 (all English, 12 first authored)
• International Conference Abstracts: 4
1. Dr. Crystal Published Papers in the Leading Journals of Chemistry.
The ranking of each journal is based on 2010 SCImago Journal & Country Rank
which includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from
the information contained in the Scopus database (Scopus database is a
bibliographic database for peer-reviewed journals in the scientific,
technical, medical and social sciences fields). A widely used measurement of
the importance of a particular scientific journal is the Thomson Scientific
Impact Factor (IF) published by Thomson Reuters. This measurement reflects
the average number of citations to articles published in science and social
science journals. The rankings and impact factors of several journals with
articles published by Dr. Crystal are listed in Table 1. Please see Exhibit
A Page 25-50 for the journal details.
Dr. Crystal’s outstanding authorship is demonstrated by the internationally
recognized journals in which her papers are published.

C. Judging the Work of Other Scientists
1. Dr. Crystal has been Participating as a Judge of the Works of Other
Scientists for Many Journals in Different Scientific Areas.
Dr. Crystal has been invited to review 25 manuscripts with worldwide
circulation, and the impact information of some journals that Dr. Crystal
helped review is listed in Table 5 [Exhibit A Page 43-50, C Page 1-10]. The
reviewing evidence of invitation letters and acknowledgement letters for the
25 manuscripts she reviewed are also attached [Exhibit C Page 11-66].
Table 5: The ranking and IF of the journals in which Dr. Crystal has served
as a reviewer.
JOURNAL RANKING 5-YEAR IF NOTES
Ranking of each journal is based on 2010 SCImago Journal & Country Rank from
Scopus database, while 5-year IF is based on 2010 Thomson Scientific Impact
Factor.
2. The Reason Dr. Crystal was Selected as Reviewer is Due to her
International Reputation and her Excellent Expertise in her Field.
Dr. Crystal has been regularly invited to act as a reviewer for worldwide
circulated journals because of her expertise in the field of Chemistry and
her international recognition. Editor of ## invited Dr. Crystal to act as a
reviewer because she is “an expert” [Exhibit C Page 40], she was invited
to review manuscript for ## because of her “substantial expertise” [
Exhibit C Page 21], and her “expert opinion” was needed to review
manuscript for ## [Exhibit C Page 42].
Dr. provided independent evaluation in his letter: “We only recruit
scientists with outstanding credentials as manuscript reviewers to ensure
the quality of outgoing articles. Although I have never met or worked with
Dr. Crystal, I am aware of her outstanding original contributions from her
publications in the top journals, and her proven track-record made her an
ideal reviewer for Journal” [Exhibit C Page 67].
Dr., Editor of, provided independent statement in his testimony: “Based on
her expertise, I have invited her to write reviews on manuscripts by others
that I am receiving as the Editor-in-chief with the request for publication.
Only scientists who have established an international reputation are
considered to judge the work by other scientists, and I consider Dr. Crystal
an excellent scientist to meet our rigorous criteria for reviewers” [
Exhibit B Page 5].
In summary, Dr. Crystal has been serving as a reviewer to evaluate the
research works of her peers due to her significant contribution and
reputation in her research field.

4. Dr. Crystal’s Preeminence in her Field has been Independently Recognized
by Leading Scientist in the Field of Chemistry.
Dr. provides an independent evaluation in his letter [Exhibit B Page 10-11]:
“Dr Crystal is a very talented and experienced research scientist. Her
accomplishments are already exceptional. I firmly believe that she will
continue to make important and original contributions to chemistry.”
Dr. provides an independent evaluation in his letter [Exhibit B Page 5]:
“Dr. Crystal is a researcher of enormous talent and experience. Her record
of accomplishment is outstanding. I strongly believe that she will continue
to make important and original contributions in the field of chemistry. She
can be considered to be a true expert in the areas of ##, , which a strong
emphasis on, but not limited to, applications in ##”
Dr. provides an independent evaluation in his letter [Exhibit B Page 1-2]:
“Dr. Crystal has accumulated an impressive list of achievements in the
community of chemistry. Through her significant scientific contributions, Dr
. Crystal has distinguished herself as one of the very top workers in the ##
field. There is no doubt that she will continue to make important and
original contributions in the field of chemistry.”
In summary, Dr. Crystal has made significant original scientific
contributions superior to her peers in the field of Chemistry, and the
significance of these original contributions is evidenced by the multiple
facts described above.
