做postdoctor 好多年了，天天考虑model，theory。。。近半年来找data mining的
industry position。经常被问到
what model did you use？ Interviewer 是想问 data model，
可是可是。。。我很自然的考虑physics models，然后试图解释blabla。。。两边都
迷糊了。

是的，天天要考虑很多models。结果面试被拒多次后才知道，interviewer想知道的
data model 不是我解释的 model。

那到底是什么model？
我们学物理的通病了，遇到什么就是先想到数学物理模型。。

I'm an outsider of data mining.But I shall give my 2 cents.
But I think they ask the wrong question. They should ask you what search/
classification algorithms you have used, instead of data modelling which
applies more to statistical analyses.
