High-Skilled Immigration
Shortly after the Presidential address, Secretary Johnson issued a
memorandum to the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and
the Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, instructing
them to take actions to improve policies related to high-skilled businesses
and workers. Specifically, the Secretary wrote that:

USCIS should work with the Department of State to ensure that all immigrant
visas authorized by Congress are issued to eligible individuals when there
is sufficient demand for such visas (i.e. that immigrant visas do not go
unused in the future).
USCIS should work with the Department of State to improve the system for
determining when immigrant visas are available to applicants during the
fiscal year. The Secretary wrote that the Department of State has agreed to
modify its visa bulletin system to more simply and reliably make such
determinations. These changes could, when implemented, result in advancement
of green card priority dates.
USCIS should consider amending its regulations to ensure that approved, long
-standing visa petitions remain valid in certain cases where they seek to
change jobs or employers.

regulations for notice and comment to expand the degree programs eligible
for OPT and extend the time period and use of OPT for foreign STEM students
and graduates, consistent with law.

degree-granting institutions, which would better ensure that a student's
practical training furthers the student's full course of study in the United
States.
ICE and USCIS should take steps to ensure that OPT employment is consistent
with U.S. labor market protections to safeguard the interests of U.S.
workers in related fields.

第5项real estate taxes paid 上面显示的是负数，我按照1098表的原样填上以后
federal refund的数字立马减了好多。这个是不是不太对阿。。。按说real estate
tax应该是抵税，应该增加federal refund的数阿。。。房子有3个1098表，只有那一个
表上的第5项有数其它的都没有数字。不懂了。。。请指点一下吧。。。

我就是念SJSU的, 那是相当苦逼郁闷和无语啊,

Moto几个大头,特别是ebay, yahoo和Cisco.
Apple也很多.
学生水平不敢恭维, 不过印度人哪怕水平再不咋样进上面几个公司靠校友关系不是什么
大问题.

form. Your real estate tax could be obtained from your county's website, or
your bill from your county.
Both are used in schedule A, along with your income or sale tax, coupled
with your charity contribution, among others, comes up a itemized dediction
(which hopefully is larger than stardard deduction).

多谢，那我就不填那一项了。确实是不太对。如实填上的话realestate tax的金额就少
了很多。不懂这个HR怎么设计的。其它的软件好像都没有让填第5项的。
