本周六预报60%降水概率,但以LA地区预报一贯不负责不靠谱的劣迹,姑且将信将疑
先做个计划,若到周四周五看着的确要下大雨,就推迟到下周末圣诞节
若阴天或小雨,可以走Mt. Lowe railway loop,但难度大些
若天晴,可走Dawn Mine,那里难度不高,但trail陡峭,有一定危险性
这两条trail的起始点相同,可以周六集合时临时决定

2、集合时间:周六早9:00am在山下B点集合,安排carpool(山上停车位置较少,尽量
让咱们每辆车都坐满)。最多等到9:15am。然后上山到D点/Trialhead。9:30am从
trialhead出发。
3、注意事项/更新通知:(请保持关注这里,特别是周五晚上请再看一下有无最新通知)
3.1、难度:以标准Echo Mt trial(终点是Hotel废墟)为1.0,以Mt.Baldy登顶为5.0
(最高),则此次hiking难度约相当于1.0(Dawn Mine)或2.0(Mt.Lowe Railway)。后者
路线虽长,但有部分是平坦的防火路,走起来并无困难。

且至少带上1升运动饮料,或者在水中添加盐分和糖。建议穿长袖衣裤,戴遮阳帽、太
阳镜、登山杖、对讲机(频道7/11)。我带西瓜和刀、铲子。
4、报名请跟贴,注明住址,方便各人自行联系carpool。按惯例,搭车的通宵需帮助司
机share油钱。

Trail Condition: OK, but a few difficult spots.

Highlights: Fascinating historic railway, great views, pine trees, deep
canyons
Near: Altadena, CA
Scenery:
Distance: 11 miles
Elevation Gain: 2600 feet
Hike Time: 6 hours
Difficulty: Strenuous
Trail Condition: OK, but a few difficult spots.
Hike Type: Loop
