My personal struggle for my kids' better future
Asian American kids have been and still are being discriminated against in
college and university admissions. As a parent of 3 kids, it makes me sick
to my stomach that they won’t enjoy a future as much as they could have if
the rules have been fairer. Taking the racial preference policies for
instance, Asian students have been discriminated against by many elite
public and private colleges in the decades. Our kids won’t have the same
equal access as the kids of other races if we don’t unite and fight.
USA is a democratic country where free speech is protected by the U.S.
constitutions. We must speak up for our kids and their better future in
this country. We are not here as second citizens. Raise your voice and get
involved!
So I embarked on a personal journey 10 months ago to help my kids and your
kids. I started Asian Americans Against Affirmative Action facebook page (
https://www.facebook.com/AgainstAA) and today it reached 100 likes. I spent
many weekends (yes, i do have a job), long nights to keep the site running
and keep the readers energized and engaged. I also commented and debated
almost on every article that I can find on Asian, race issues in college
admissions, higher education, and equal access. Reach out to me if you can
help.
Please help me help our kids by visiting and liking the page. Please pass
the words around and send the link to your friends, families, colleagues,
classmates, etc. Let’s unite and fight for a better future for our kids.
