There are many activities in the elementary school, such as 捐款,照相,吃饭
We did not attend any. I wonder if that will affect how the teacher treats
the kids. Recently, I feel the teacher is a little tough on my kid.

著名的极端动物保护组织PETA ，竟然将矛头指向了电子游戏，他们谴责Pokemom/口袋
妖怪/宠物小精灵，声称该游戏有虐待动物的倾向。
据说在去年11月，PETA 就曾经谴责过人见人爱的马里奥大叔，称其使用皮草什么的。
PETA 称：口袋妖怪系列游戏，讲述了一个少年捕获野生动物，并将它们训练成角斗士
的故事，这个概念明显有悖于让动物自由自在生活的精神。并且虽然游戏中未指明，但
我们都知道要将野生动物训练成为言听计从的宠物，不用一点马戏团似的变态技巧几乎
是不可能的，所以从这个角度看来，这个游戏确实有虐待动物的倾向。

I don't think the teacher dare... But he or she may think parent involvement
is important, and your not participating in any activity will make them
feel you do not really care about your kids. Just try to be active.

去参加一下，认识一下班里的小朋友和老师，跟自己小孩也更有共同话题吧。
我还是喜欢去的，当然如果人要鄙视我，我也没办法。

我们这儿捐东西都是PTA在管，你捐不捐对老师没影响，但从来不参与的家长应该是非
主流，老师心里有点看法也正常。一般每学期都有很多参与的机会，买书，买东西赞助
学校，给慈善组织捐东西，各种fund raising，bake sale, raffle... 我们也只是挑
几个有意思的参加，时不时地露个脸，混个眼熟就差不多了。
你们不想花钱也没关系，多在班级里volunteer就很好，一方面了解孩子在学校的表现
，了解老师和同学以及学校各种程序，另一方面也是建立人脉和为孩子创造更多机会

另外照相这个事情好像没听说谁不照的，虽然挺贵的。别人都照就你不照，多别扭啊。
不过你家孩子心里很强大，呵呵

要是care,怎么会一个都不参加呢？照相也不用大人自己去吧，而且很多活动是，所有
小孩都会参加的吧。你们怎么做到不参加的即使老师态度没变化，别人做这些的时候
，你们家娃怎么自处的？

可以有些时候问问小孩班里有几个没参加或者有几个参加了的，比如照相有哪些没去拍
的，有些捐款会有小礼物给孩子，谁拿到了就是捐了的。
照相至少可以拍个班级照吧。
我有个朋友英文不好，孩子带回来的东西看不懂，爸爸又不太管孩子的事，结果就是学
校里的活动好多都不知道不参加。前些日子照相日早上送小孩上校车的时候，看到别人
家小孩打扮起来才知道有照相这回事。后来听她说老师在评语上写希望孩子能多参加些
活动。

不捐钱没啥要紧（也许加州和私立除外？），但是一点不参与活动，就基本是表明自己
是世界上最拽的n人了
