Jason is our dear son. He is 4 years old. We try to avoid quarreling in
front of kids. Below is an email I send to my wife:
I am OK with him drinking both cold and warm water. They are both perfectly
fine.
But "telling and reinforcing him that drinking cold water causes tummy ache"
is not right. Now he says tummy ache nearly everyday and we just ignore him
. This can be troublesome later like the "Wolf is coming" story.
Jason never complained tummy ache from 2011 to 2013 when he drank cold water
/milk every day at day care. I never heard you said "drinking cold water
causes tummy ache" to him from 2011 to 2013. But since last Dec after we
visited China and he lived with your parents, you started hearing your
telling him "drinking cold water causes tummy ache".
On the other hand, I have suggested to see his doctor about this issue. And
you disagree and say Jason is playing "Wolf is coming" and try to ignore him.
If you can show me any Jason's medical record that "drinking cold water
causes him tummy ache", I will agree with you and even talk to his teachers
to give him warm water/milk only. Otherwise, please stop "telling and
reinforcing him that drinking cold water causes tummy ache".

看起来好复杂啊。。。不懂，不过：
1）凉水热水大概不要紧
2）老婆觉得要紧，她多半错了，但是“老婆在小事上多半错了”，这也不是大事，没
有必要穷争。
超出1,2的争论，就没有意义了。。。彼此不能说服，对孩子毫无帮助，白白增加烦恼
。。。

刚研究过这个问题。里面包工程量大，因为要拆掉drywall再装上，而且减小了使用面
积。外面包可以，如果墙是siding的，HD和lowes有现成的XPS板用来做这个用的。砖墙
就没办法包了。如果房子换siding，可以趁机加insulation.

完全没看懂。
你儿子现在喝不喝冷水冷牛奶？如果因为你儿子被心里暗示喝了冷水就肚子疼，那就一
个星期内只给温水温牛奶，看看还抱怨肚子疼不。如果不抱怨了，那以后就喝温的好了
，也没坏处。
如果还抱怨，就去看医生。

我娃差不多大。从某个时候起一直喝凉水，冰奶，没有什么问题。
另外，提供一个线索，我娃自从在幼儿园受伤用过icep ack之后,就认为用ice pack是
一件很酷的事。他现在也会不时抱怨这痛那痛，包括肚子痛，特别晚上睡觉睡不着时。
给他ice pack挨两下，立马就不痛了。所以看来他装痛就是为了用 ice pack.
综和起来，我觉得‘喝凉水引肚子’确实不准确，不应该老对孩子说。不过可以找找别
的原因为什么孩子会说肚子疼。

即使是老房子，一般R19肯定达到了，不要过于忧虑。
如果自己干，强烈建议从里面入手，外墙因为风雨阳光的问题非常复杂，不是加一层保
温那么简单，不是一般人动的了的。外墙也是你房子最昂贵的部分。
千万不要里外都搞，一是没必要，二是水汽一旦进入中间，会出不来，会腐化结构。

老房子一般R19达不到。2x4的木框，里面用现成的材料，最大能用到R15(stone wool)
。老房子一般用的R11，还有R7的。如果用喷入的泡沫可能能达到R19，也可能达不到，
没做研究。2x6用stone wool可以达到。2x4里面用R15，外面用XPS可以达到。

你说的对的，老房子2X4墙的话达不到R19.
不过还是不建议自己弄，尤其是从外面。现在比较好的PVC窗，只有R-3，墙体R值高到
一定程度，再高就没什么意义了。小住宅因为考虑成本，现在的一套体系应该是投入
产出比最高的了，外墙新材料的运用一定要谨慎，保温只是外墙的一个功能，防水和
空气质量相对更重要。

以前我也觉得国内的带娃太过小心了，后来发现可能国内环境复杂，病毒厉害得多。比
如手足口，在这里是普通病毒，在国内可能要人命。所以在国内得时候喝热水没什么，
我也是喝热水长大得。
这里可能的确不需要。四岁娃可以讲道理了。我觉得你可以告诉娃，两个地方环境不一
样，所以国内喝热水，这里喝冷水，就像国内吃米饭饺子，这里吃pizza hot dog一样
。试一个星期，看有没有效果。
还有，就事论事吧，不管哪方父母，对孩子心都是好的，有什么做得不对得，家长可以
尽量控制影响，指责可能会伤感情。

老理儿是无知中的畏惧心理，中国城，一般人要冰水，有人专门要热水，一看，是心捏
耳（Senior），习惯吧。你儿子在试探你们，看他的自由度有多少。你的洋一半心里有
疑惑，你要当面叭喇叭喇，说通了，统一了，他儿子也就老实了。

确实是体质问题，我儿子以前喝奶粉时候，夏天用室温水冲奶，冬天温热水冲奶，否则
会拉肚子。现在大了，天气不热时候喝冰果汁一天胃不好，口臭。

P大的事，小孩就是一阵子，过去了就过去了，同学朋友在一起都是喝冰水，他以后肯

其实有条件还是建议在家里喝温水，对肠胃刺激小。自来水的温度通常比室温低，更别
说冰水了。在学校喝凉水管不到，没办法。

我认为，胃对于冷热的接受是培养出来的。如果长期喝热水的人，胃会对冷水不能适应
，所以才会产生不舒服。如果要从小就培养胃的适应能力，就应该吸收各种刺激，以增
加抵抗力和适应力。
另外，对于沟通一事，要先给老婆上课，才能共同引导孩子。否则，夫妻不同心，就事
倍功半。

我家吃冰晚上睡觉会咳嗽。他自己有时就不喜欢喝凉奶，会让我们微波炉转一下。天气
热得时候就可以喝冰水或者凉奶。
所以你老婆不完全错。当面商量不就完了，写啥子信。

没太明白……之前如果楼主老婆真的跟孩子强调“喝凉水会导致肚子疼”，那么她本人
应该很小心不给孩子喝凉水的。那么现在孩子天天抱怨肚子疼，怎么这老婆又会置之不
理还说孩子在玩狼来了的？这个表现很矛盾啊。真怕孩子肚子疼就该按照楼主说的那样
，注意不给凉水且带去看医生啊。

没看明白，楼主是对老婆给孩子灌输喝凉水会肚子疼不满还是对老婆不带孩子看大夫不
满？
至于喝凉水，尤其是冰水，我自己虽然不会每次引起肚子疼，但经常会喝了不舒服，我
一直以为老美认为喝凉水没事，直到有一天收到老美转发的Email，我还记得标题非常
夸张，“cold water=cancer",大致意思是凉水会使消化系统的酶不正常工作，导致比
如油脂不能正常消化，当然也有不少老美对此嗤之以鼻，但至少说明美国医学界对这个
问题看法也是有争议的，所以你老婆给孩子灌输喝凉水会肚子疼也没啥问题，毕竟喝温
水或室温水是更安全的
至于你老婆不肯带孩子去看大夫，我想知道这孩子能吃，能睡，能玩，能拉吗？精神头
好吗？要是这些都正常，你就是带去看大夫又能看出什么呢？

中国因为水质问题，需要喝开水，而且以前冰不易取得，应次养成喝温水是合理的。
美国多数自来水是饮用级别，冰从50+年就到处都是，所以喝冰水也成了习惯。
至于冰水本身对身体有没有坏处，是有一些争议和说法的。你 Google英文。
就算有坏处或者是好处，对绝大多数人来说，是忽略不记的。
我是来美国后喜欢喝冰水冰牛奶了。
小孩也是。

我觉得你老婆最大的问题是ignore孩子的complaint。你们应该带孩子去看医生。多观
察孩子肚子疼的时间和频率。4岁的孩子，应该不会为了好玩，每天说肚子疼。而且，
你老婆已经ignore很多次了，孩子还是说，我觉得是很有问题的。
这件事情，作为爸爸，你应该重视起来。看个医生，不就是钱和时间嘛。但是，错过了
重要的治疗时间，是很大的遗憾。
