lender说不能自己交必须通过他们交只有20% downpay的才能自己买保险和缴税。

是真的, FHA必须有escrow account.

不是必须的，但是，你如果选择不加入，则他们可以说不给你贷款。
最准确的说法应该是下面这个：
Escrow Accounts
Most FHA loans require that lenders collect a portion of your monthly
payment to pay real estate taxes, hazard insurance, and other requirements
as defined at settlement. The Real Estate Settlement Protection Act (RESPA)
defines what actions the lender must perform, and how escrow accounts should
be established and maintained. See Consumer Frequently Asked Questions
about Escrow Accounts for additional information.
