家里车坏了好久了,不想要了. 想捐掉。
没有弄过,问个大概的程序。车牌要事前取下来吗？如何拿到抵税的证明?

Unless you file itemized deduction with your tax return, donations don't
really matter. Just FYI.
You can google any local "we buy used cars running or not" places and sell
your car to one of them.
Of course if you still choose to donate your car that would be very nice. :)

ps，退税的时候没有抵税，只是乐得省心了

purple heart写了可以500块的抵税.
但是有的ID 说没有抵税；我弄糊涂了.
有知道的仔细说说.

if you file 1040 oe 1040 EZ with Itemized Deductions(Gifts to
Charity), then you can get tax credit with donation.
if you file 1040NR or 1040 NR-EZ, then you can't do "Itemized Deductions"
you can't get the tax credit. thank you for your generosity!
if you want sale you car to a junk yard, remember to take as many parts as you can
off the car(I think you can), so you can sale by yourself for more money. (if you like doing
this, like craiglist...) (too much work, right?)
you need take off your plate(keep it, it's yours, don't let anyone get it!!)
