Mine is almost 14 months. Can say "baba, mama, dada, nainai, yaya, jiji, gougou", but don't know what these words stand for. When we say "bye", he knows to wave his hands, and he names every thing that can move as "gougou" (e.g., dog, cat, squirrel, plane ... )

如果儿医都concern,你们应该找个specialist看看。 就我观察娃toddler班的男小朋 友们,20个月的词汇量都挺大的了,而且部分能说两个词以上的短语("all done" " more water" etc. )。每个孩子发育有早晚,不过如果你心里觉得不对劲的话应该及早 寻求专业人士意见。

建议楼主 1. 自己测试一下ASQ-3 (Ages and Stages Questionnaires)看是否低于15% 2. 联系学区的Early Childhood Developmet Program to schedule a hearing test and evaluation. 3. Ask for referral to speech intervention if qualified, which is normally offerred by your county's children and infants services. Every kid is different. Just keep a close eye on him. Good luck!
