打算买新房
想大概预测一下各种utility和其他的各种开销变化
新房是2000 sq的ranch
现在租公寓，各种水电加起来不到100
搬到新房后的各种utility会高出很多吗
还是说还有很多我现在想不到的开销？
yard不大，大概0.2
请提点和指教一下：）

Anyone attended this class/camp before? My son is 4.5 yrs old and loves Lego
. He can focus playing for 2-3 hrs without stop and he plays 7-12 yrs old
Lego ( Eg: 3 in 1 House; 3 in 1 T-Rex etc.) almost without help. 6 yrs and
younger Lego no help at all and about the same speed as auult. He can also
build his own truks, cars and houses . Do you think he can fit in 5-7 yrs
old camp class (3 hrs with a couple of breaks). Thanks so much!

我觉得买房和租房的最大区别是。租房什么坏了你都不用管。买房，嘿嘿。

besides utilities, you also have property tax, homeowner insurance, etc.
You also need to buy some tools to maintain the house, e.g., lawn mower
in my opinion, owning a home is much more expensive than renting

很多apartment都没水费吧，sfh一般水费不少， internet也会涨价
然后有个可能占大头的HOA

LZ要买新房，有保修，应该还好。第一年肯定不用担心。

That is not always true. At least not in area where house price increases
rapidly. You have to subtract all price gain from cost, you might get
negative cost after done that, meaning later buyer pays you to live in the
house.

租房你难道不要交这些费用？房东活雷锋都把这些费用自己担着不算在租金里？
要比较就是同样的房子比较而不是用3000尺sfh的费用跟one bedroom的租金比

租房子的好处是省心，但并不省钱。房主不是活雷锋。
我的旧房子现在出租，房客交的房租足够cover 税+小区费+贷款利息+各种其它开销。
后者大概是房租的60~70%(更不用说房价上涨带来的好处)。自己handy一点能省不少钱。
当然作为房东，会有不少事情，赚得钱并不是“躺收”的。但总体来说并不算太多。也
就是换房客的时候事情多点。平时一年大概会出２－３次问题需要解决。

另外楼主问得很多问题是condo和SFH之间的区别。你要买和现在一样大小的condo,你问
的各种费用基本没差别。
utility来讲，sfh肯定要多花不少钱。
