engineered hardwood best glued on. it is beyond average diy skill.
laminate you can diy.

is an extremely dusty process. you'll need to rent a floor sander. this job

cut carpet to pieces with width < 6 feet, roll to a diameter < 1 foot, and
stack them on trash collection days. your town may have specific dates
picking this kind of trash up.

地毯一般是切成条，卷成长度不超过一定标准的小卷，垃圾日放门口。市政垃圾指引里
会有写明的。

实际上旧地板状况还不错，确实要打磨后上涂层。
现在找人做要等好久，看了视频打磨是最难的部分了吧，容易搞砸的也是这个地方吧。
视频上有用belt sander的，有用orbit sander的，哪个新手好控制？
stain和poly用哪家的好点？

Be mentally ready for screw ups. You can screw up the poly step too. Don't
use any sheen level above satin. Otherwise all screw-ups will become very
visible.
I'd use MinWax wood filler, stain, and poly.

我用的是orbit sander。看见很多说belt sander太狠，一不留神就磨掉一层，安全起
见没敢用。
orbit sander磨得慢，很难搞砸，所以不好的地方就是不够生猛，你的地板如果需要打
磨掉很多，需要多花点时间。

见没敢用。
orbit sander磨得慢，很难搞砸，所以不好的地方就是不够生猛，你的地板如果需要打
磨掉很多，需要多花点时间。

用belt 或者sheet的好处是方形的，角落用orbit需要配合mouse sander比较烦

我考虑过租一个，这货零售价动辄奔一万走，租金也是相当不便宜
普通sander真受不了，整个屋子全毁

there is no such thing as "dust free" once a sander is involved. the fancier
ones with vacuum would significantly reduce the mount of dust. small
particles will still drop all over the place within 24 hours.
random orbit is more foolproof than belt sander.
