做肉类食品,用来熬稀饭也很棒.
Braised beef with carrot,parsnip and sweet potato
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 clove garlic,crushed
5 ounces lean beef, cut into pieces
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
1 small parsnip(3 ounces),peeled and sliced
1 medium sweet potato(8OZ),peeled and chopped
2 cups chicken stock
Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed saucepan or small casserole dish, Saute the
onion and garlic for 3 to 4 minutes or until softened. Toss the pieces of
beef in the flour and saute until browned all over. Add the carrots, parsnip
, sweet potato, to the pan and pour in the stock. Bring to a boil and then
simmer, covered, for about 1 3/4 hours or until the meat is tender. Blend,
adding as much of the cooking liquid as necessary.
