Folks,
I am confused about this. I had a weird roommate.
I rented the whole apartment. But no lease was signed. So, I rented one room
out without any lease either to this korean guy. The oral agreement is either
part can terminate the rent with one month advance notice.
So,he paid me at the beginning of each month until July. He didn't pay me the
rent for july. I called him and assumed he was moving out. So, he did move
out.
Now he is asking me to pay him last month rent(July, I got keys on 07/2

you'd better make sure what he wanted.
If he want to sue you, he has to send you a certified mail.
So if he don't send a mail to you,don't worry about.
BTW, subleasing an apartment without owner'permission
illegal.
